This article showed up in the BBC News this morning – it doesn’t make nice reading… The UK’s NHS has been cut back and mismanaged so much it seems that this sad article is a sign of the results and the impact on unfortunate sick people:

The fact that a reporter found two people had had cardiac arrests – heart attacks -while left waiting on beds in a corridor in one week in recent months is not exactly cheering…

What is going on? It isn’t good it has to be said ,and how politicians can claim they are doing right by the NHS in the UK I don’t know with reports like this? It has to be said doctors can be – and usually are pretty well paid – though they might well say they are not paid enough… What are the main costs that make things so hard to manage I wonder? One for more research I guess… I do wonder at the value of NHS managers though – do they do any good with what no doubt has a large aspect of target culture?

Thank goodness the Ambulance Service blew the whistle on this – and the doctor did roll his sleeves up and care for sick people…
